Over the next four years, she kept up the pretense and collected over $60,000 in charitable contributions. One year ago on DenverPost.com: A driver was grooming the lake for ice skaters at about 6:15 p.m. when the ice cracked and the 7,000-pound Zamboni began to sink. Skaters were cleared from other areas of the lake for safety. No one was injured in the accident.
