Cold Showers @ SXSW (Belmont)
Despite the Belmont getting shows started nearly an hour late, as well as having major issues with sound, Cold Showers put together an enjoyable set in the relaxing open air venue.

So the crowds are big at SXSW, and sometimes it’s hard to see. I admire this guy’s spirit, but still, doesn’t everyone always hate being behind the tall guy. Also, this screams “look at me”.
In other words, all I could think of was “Sweep the Leg”.

Denver based Tennis was a nice surprise at SXSW, although I was expecting to see The Oh Sees.

Fiona Apple seemed to be having a bad night at SXSW. I think her band was tight, but her voice seemed warbley and stressed. Perhaps she as nursing a cold? Either way, she displayed a lot of passion and the show was enjoyable despite the wait to get into the packed Stubb’s.

Had a moment to catch a few hours of live music last night on Sixth Street. Black Books from Austin was pretty decent, and Love Inks was alright as well. People all over inside and outside. Some amazing street food set amongst the big buildings.
If you are here, get the Tilapia fish tacos from Turf and Surf. Amazing.
We had to call it quits early, but this weekend it’s on.
